I purchased this book to understand a little of the process of designing and making a custom interior. The designs are good, but maybe a little dated. For instance, it’s mainly street rods and no discussion of the newer ‘pimp’ style look. No AV system installs – which I was most intrested in finding how some of the flowing speaker enclosures are done.
Very good photography throughout… you can pick some nice ideas if you’re doing a street rod.

This was a great book with very good pictures. There were a lot of great tips from someone that has done a lot of upholstery work. I am not afraid to tackle my own project after reading this book. I did not need the sections about convertabile tops as I think this could be a seperate book in itself. I would of liked to see more supplier references in the resource section, but this may be a wholesale issue.

This book has been very useful and the color pictures make it better than the other Don taylor book. If you want to learn auto trimming then this book is one of the better books on the subject.

The print was OK, but the binding would take a lot to be desired. I would NEVER give this book to a friend as a gift. It was loosely bound & looked as if a child’s first attempt at Binding a book. The print was Good & thats all I was concerned with.

this is a great book for someone who has at least a basic knowledge of upholstery. I think it might be frusterating for a real beginner. A lot of really good information.
